Pilgrims Of Hajj Group 37 Of The Last Jakarta-Bekasi Embarkation Enter Medina, Then Land In Jeddah Continues Makkah
JAKARTA - The first batch of Indonesian pilgrims is scheduled for Medina on June 8, 2023.
Group 37 of the Jakarta Bekasi Embarkation is scheduled to be the last batch to arrive in Medina via Amir Mohammad bin Abdul Azis (AMAA) Airport, Medina, Saudi Arabia. Group 37 carried 374 Hajj participants.
Meanwhile, in the second wave, Indonesian pilgrims will land at King Abdul Aziz Airport (KAA), Jeddah, and then go directly to Makkah.
Based on data from the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System on Monday, June 5, it was recorded that out of a total of 548 groups of pilgrims who departed from the country, 264 of them were waves one, namely those who first stopped in Medina.
For the smooth running and comfort of the congregation, the Director of Domestic Hajj Services at the Ministry of Religion Saiful Mujab asked airlines to be serious and more cooperative.
Airlines, both Saudia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia, must be more cooperative in informing any changes or delays in flights. Airlines must also be more solution," said Saiful in Jakarta, Monday, June 5, as quoted by Antara.
The rate of change and delay in the flight schedule for Indonesian pilgrims in 2023 is quite high, the figure is more than 15 times the delay or schedule change.
"Each airline that places its representatives in the Hajj dormitory is not only to prepare a schedule, but also to explain and apologize to the congregation if there is a change in the flight schedule because the previously agreed schedule has been socialized to the congregation," he said.
"I ask that this be a serious concern for the airline so that delays do not continue. What is the contract agreement must be fulfilled," he continued.
Saiful reminded airlines that changes in flight schedules resulted in domino effects that interfered with the fulfillment of services to pilgrims, both in Hajj dormitories, as well as in Medina and Makkah, because this was related to the residence of pilgrims, capacity, and rotation of pilgrims in Hajj dormitories.
Moreover, services in Saudi Arabia that have been contracted to serve pilgrims on schedule have become inefficient.
"We hope that the potential schedule change can be minimized. If there is a schedule change, the contract has stated that the notification is at least 2x24 hours before departure. Don't be sudden or even notified after it happens," said Saiful.
"I ask for the commitment of airlines, both Saudia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia, to the agreement contained in the contract," he said.
