Jasa Marga Records 342 Thousand Vehicles Returning To Jabotabek In The 3-4 June Period
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. noted, as many as 342,016 vehicles returned to the Jabotabek area during the long holiday period for the Birthday of Pancasila and Vesak 2023 or to be precise on June 3-4, 2023.
This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (from Merak), Ciawi GT (from Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (from Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (from Bandung).
"The total volume of traffic returning to the Jabotabek area increased by 12.8 percent compared to normal traffic with a total of 303,116 vehicles," said Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana in a press release, Monday, June 5.
For traffic distribution back to Jabotabek from three directions, namely the majority of 174,171 vehicles (50.9 percent) from the East (Trans Java and Bandung), 84,208 vehicles (24.6 percent from the West (Merak), and 83,637 vehicles (24.5 percent) from the South (Puncak) direction.
Lisye detailed, the distribution of traffic from June 3-4, namely Lali, returned to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 79,249 vehicles, an increase of 16.1 percent from normal traffic.
Then, traffic returned to Jabotabek from the direction of Bandung via the Main Kalihurip GT of the Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 94,922 vehicles, an increase of 29.1 percent from normal traffic.
"The total traffic returning to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 174,171 vehicles or an increase of 22.8 percent from normal traffic," he said.
Then, traffic returned to Jabotabek from Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road as many as 84,208 vehicles or 0.7 percent lower than normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 83,637 vehicles or an increase of 9.3 percent from normal traffic.
"Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate trips before entering the toll road. Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balances, and comply with signs and directions from officers," he said.
