SAR Team Finds Teenager Named Excel Dead After Reported Missing In Pangandaran Sea

The joint Search And Rescue (SAR) team managed to find a teenager in a state of death who was previously reported missing for three days due to being swept away by waves on Cikembulan Beach, Pangandaran Regency, West Java."The victim was found at 14.20 WIB and has been evacuated," said Head of the Water and Air Police Unit (Polairud) of the Pangandaran Police, AKP Sugianto when contacted, Antara, Sunday, June 4.He said the victim named Excel Naika was found dead. The victim was reported missing after being carried away by the waves while playing football at Cikembulan Beach, Turis Village, Pangandaran Regency, Friday afternoon.The joint SAR team, he said, was finally able to find the victim about 2 kilometers from the initial location. The victim was reported to have been dragged by the waves with a dead condition."It was found around Aston about 2 kilometers from the scene of the incident in a state of death," he said.He said that the joint SAR team previously conducted a search by walking along the beach, then into the middle of the sea by boat.Weather conditions on Pangandaran Beach, he said, are good or normal, making it easier for officers to search."The condition of the sea waves and winds is normal," he said.Previously, three teenagers played football on the beach, then the ball was swept away by the waves and they tried to pick it up.However, the three people were actually carried away by the waves. Two victims were found dead first, then the last victim was also found dead.The three victims who died were not tourists, but local residents who were playing on the beach.
The search operation carried out by the joint SAR team consisted of Basarnas, Satpolairud, TNI AL, Balawista, and the community. With all the victims found, the search operation was stopped.
