Ministry Of Industry: PIDI 4.0 Supports Acceleration Of Digital Ecosystem Transformation

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) held a 2023 Program and Activity Empowerment Coordination Meeting at the PIDI 4.0 Building, Jakarta. This is done to realize the targets and targets in the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap.

Some of the things discussed in these activities include evaluating the implementation of programs and activities during the current year to support the output and key performance indicator (KPI) of PIDI 4.0.

"In the future, we will not only be able to produce competent human resources (HR), but how to be able to create human resources that are no longer stuttering with the transformation of industrial technology 4.0. Therefore, PIDI 4.0 can be a bridge to accelerate this digital transformation," said the Head of BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan in a written statement, Thursday, June 1.

It was noted that more than 20 activities in the form of exhibition, conference, workshop seminars that have been held by PIDI 4.0 with the partner industry, namely Advance Software & Cybersecurity Implementation to Support Digital Transformation Journey for Industry, Microcontroller Arduino, Big Data Analyst, and Blockchain Technology seminar.

Other activities that have been carried out include discussions in the context of sharpening future programs and activities in 2023. PIDI 4.0 also encourages partners to participate and contribute to major national events, such as the Career To 5G Smart City Seminar, the National & Global Light House Seminar, and the Transformation Awareness Program.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Ministry of Industry's Human Resources Education and Training Center, Arnes Lukman, said that this coordination meeting was held offline with a total of 25 companies engaged in the manufacturing industry.

"The meeting participants are included in the 4.0 user technology category, including PT Indolakto and PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. Meanwhile, the partner industry is included in the technology provider category, namely PT Telkomsel, PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, PT NEC Indonesia, PT AWASIN, PT Aldik, and PT TSM," he said.

No less important, the meeting was also attended by several local startups, namely PT Bogortech Pratama Internusa, PT Widya Robotics, PT Lanius Innovation Indonesia, PT UMG Idea Lab, PT MSMB, and PT SSD.

One of the real contributions from PIDI 4.0 partners is the PIDI 4.0 showcase center service from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN).

The facility has received about 500 visits since its inauguration in early 2023. The showcase built by TMMIN will be used for training and for industrial transformation consultation.

In order to strengthen the industrial ecosystem 4.0, PT TSM, NEC Indonesia, and PT Festo together with PIDI 4.0 have also contributed to several national and global level exhibitions, such as the 2023 Indonesian Digital Financial Economy Festival (FEKDI) and Hannover Messe 2023 in Germany.

Arnes said the Ministry of Industry gave appreciation to the PIDI 4.0 partner industries that have contributed to the implementation of collaborative activities carried out over the past two years since the inauguration of the PIDI 4.0 building by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs on December 2, 2021.

"To strengthen the role of PIDI 4.0, it is necessary to hold an audience with the manufacturing industry or industry associations per sector to identify the pain points and industrial needs in carrying out digital transformation," he added.
