Monday JCI Was Still In The Red Zone, Weakening To 5,863.91
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened lower at the beginning of this week, Monday 17 February. JCI fell 3 points or 0.05 percent to 5,863.91.
At the opening of trading, there were 18 stocks strengthened, 8 stocks weakened, and 19 stocks were stagnant. Trade transactions reached Rp. 22.2 billion from the 4.8 million shares traded.
However, Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama, said the JCI would reverse direction after last weekend's trading closed, slightly corrected by 0.09 percent to the level of 5,866.
"There is a potential for a rebound in the JCI movement so that it has the opportunity to go to the nearest resistance," he said in his research.
Based on technical analysis, the index is expected to be in the resistance area at the range of the level of 5,939 to 5,988. Meanwhile, the support area is in the range of 5,839 to 5,767.
He also recommended a number of issuers with large cap shares in the LQ45 index to be considered by investors, such as PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk (LSIP), PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia ( Persero) Tbk (TLKM), PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR).
This morning, the stocks that entered the top gainers, namely PT Dewata Freightinternational Tbk (DEAL) rose IDR 5 or 5.25 percent to IDR 100, shares of PT Mulia Industrindo Tbk (MLIA) rose IDR 10 or 1.74 percent to IDR 585 and shares of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) increased by IDR 15 or 1.68 percent to IDR 920.
As for the stocks that entered the top losers, among others, the shares of PT Diamond Citra Propertindo Tbk (DADA) fell by IDR 14 or 7.02 percent to IDR 159, shares of PT Sentral Mitra Informatika Tbk (LUCK) fell by IDR 40 or 7.02 percent to IDR 530 and shares PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) decreased IDR 60 or 2.8 percent to IDR 2,040.
