IHSG Ambles Nearly 2 Percent, Foreign Investors Hunt Stocks Of BCA, Bank Mandiri, And BRI
JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) ended lower in trading Friday, January 22, although it was still above the level of 6,200. JCI closed down 1.66 percent or 106.76 points to 6,307.13.
All sectoral indexes fell down along with the JCI. The mining sector fell the most, namely 4.09 percent.
The total volume of trade transactions today reached 17.28 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 17.02 trillion. A total of 107 stocks rose, 396 stocks fell, and 128 stocks were stagnant.
PT PP Tbk (PTPP) shares fell the most today with a decrease of 6.94 percent. Meanwhile, the stock whose price jumped the most was PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) with a 1.31 percent gain.
The stocks with the largest net foreign purchases were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with IDR181.2 billion, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) IDR160.1 billion, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) IDR133.9 billion.
Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) with IDR176.5 billion, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) IDR108.9 billion, and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) IDR75.9 billion.
