Van De Beek Is Still In The Midst Of Some Of His Successful Colleagues Who Have Migrated

JAKARTA - The success of Ajax Amsterdam in local competitions and the Champions League in the 2018/19 season cannot be separated from the role of its players. Names such as Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong, Hakim Ziyech, Donny van de Beek, David Neres are the players who are able to bring Ajax as a respected team on the blue continent.

The big teams were finally attracted to using the services of Ajax players. Several clubs successfully hooked up, including De Jong who moved to Barcelona, De Ligt to Juventus, and most recently Ziyech who will play for Chelsea in the 2020/21 season.

These players are indeed considered worthy of playing at big clubs along with the development they have. Moreover, their age is still relatively young, and it is still very possible to be on the same level as the world's top players.

However, unlike the three names above, Donny van de Beek's name is a player who still feels at home in the white and red uniform. The 22-year-old player still doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of his former colleague even though big clubs keep in contact with him.

Clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid are the clubs that are most passionate about pursuing Van de Beek. However, he denied the rumors that he was leaving for Madrid.

"There is no contact with Real Madrid. The news (of the move) to Madrid) is premature news. I will not rush to move. I am happy with Ajax," said Van de Beek.

Previously, MU was the first to echo their interest in the Dutch national team midfielder. Van de Beek is predicted to replace Paul Pogba.

But MU is still confused. Apart from Van de Beek, MU is also eyeing Joel Maddison from Leicester City who is also staying as a replacement for Pogba.

Van de Beek is still under contract at Ajax until 2022. For clubs who want to get his services, they have to spend around 55 million euros.

Van de Beek's name first stuck to the public when he was brilliantly able to lead Ajax to the Champions League semifinals last season.

In addition, he also helped Ajax marry two domestic titles in the 2018/19 season by winning the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup titles.

In the 2019/20 season, the consistency of his game has not decreased either. So far Van de Beek has appeared for Ajax 30 times in all competitions with 10 goals and 8 assists.
