Twitter Account CEO The Sandbox (SAND) Hacked, Posting Link Scam

JAKARTA - An unexpected incident has occurred to one of the founders of the metaverse platform The Sandbox (SAND), Arthur Madrid. His Twitter account was hacked by a bad actor and used to promote links containing scams or scams.

Arthur Madrid recently informed his followers about the incident. Madrid stated that his account had just been hacked and urged his followers not to click on the link his account shared, especially those that did not use The Sandbox's official domain name.

"My Twitter was hacked today and now it's back. Please never click on any links promoting SCAMMY airdrops or URLs and not 100 percent using the right and unique domain/URL names: sandbox.game," wrote Arthur Madrid.

Sandbox said that the perpetrators made it look as if this platform distributed SAND tokens to direct people to sites that could jeopardize their personal and financial information.

"Our CEO and Co-Founder's Twitter account, Arthur Madrid, has been hacked. Hackers posted a scam/phishing link for fake SAND airport tokens," The Sandbox announced.

The Sandbox also appealed to the crypto community not to click on the link. The Sandbox asked netizens to report the post to be blocked and not harm Twitter users.

The Sandbox confirmed it was addressing the issue and attempted to remove the link to the fraudulent site uploaded by hackers so as not to take the victim.
