VW To Launch Facelift Touareg, Appears With Drastic Change

JAKARTA - Adding to the SUV segment, Volkswagen will launch a facelift version of Touareg on May 24.

In a teaser video uploaded by Volkswagen News on its official Twitter account, Monday, May 22, VW features a body part of the car that is still dark. However, when the lights are turned on, it gives a little picture.

Reporting from Carscoops, May 22, Touareg received a change using the latest IQ.LIGHT HD matrix light. The light has 19,200 micro LEDs that can provide maximum lighting.

In addition to the lighting section, VW also displays the front bumper with lower air-intake. On the back it looks fresher than the previous Touareg with the burning "VW" logo.

Although the outside looks newer, the interior doesn't seem to change. However, the manufacturer offers developing voice control technology as well as Android Auto and Android CarPlay systems.

Not only presenting the latest interior and design, VW will also provide the latest features on Touareg's facelift. This feature is in the form of a new roof load sensor that can detect roof boxes and adjust the electronic stability control system in response.

VW will also provide standard steel spring kits and gear driving an optional two-space air suspension that is given new settings to increase comfort for both drivers and passengers.

VW has not provided details regarding the runway, it is possible that Touareg's facelift will use the R version of the hybrid powertrain.

If that's true, then this SUV is equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 engine with an electric motor combined with an automatic transmission of eight accelerations. With this combination, it can generate 456 dk of power.

Not to be missed, the battery pack with a capacity of 17.9 kWh which can reach up to 47 km if the car is fully electric.
