411 Kg Of Methamphetamine Controller Arrested In Johor Malaysia

PeKANBARU - Riau Regional Police stated that the control of the circulation of 411 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine on behalf of Marno, who has been on the run for a long time, was secured in Johor State, Malaysia.

The Director of Drug Investigation at the Riau Police, Kombes Yos Guntur, explained that the suspect was arrested by the Johor Police with 62 kg of crystal methamphetamine as evidence.

Apart from Marno, the police also arrested several perpetrators of the Marno network including his wife and children who were also involved in controlling hundreds of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.

"We managed to secure his wife and children in Dumai, moments after returning from Malaysia. He is indeed our DPO," said Yos Guntur as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

From Marno's network, the police confiscated 121 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in 2022 and 290 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in 2023. A total of 411 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine has been secured from the Marno network.

Before being arrested by the Malaysian police, the Riau Police communicated directly with the neighboring District Police about the hunt for fugitives.

"This is a good cooperation and good relations between the two countries," he said.

Previously, the Riau Police revealed a network of international narcotics with not a few pieces of evidence. A total of about 411 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine was confiscated, which was the result of the disclosure of four police reports (LP).

One of them was the arrest of 276 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at the end of January 2023 in Pekanbaru City.

The modus operandi of the circulation of 276 kilograms of illicit goods is transported along with old coconut using a cold diesel car at Arifin Ahmad's gas station, Sunday (29/1).

In this case, five perpetrators were arrested. One of them died trying to fight the officer by crashing into his vehicle.
