Sriwijaya Air Stewardess Body Buried In Bali, Family: Thank You Lancar Burial

JAKARTA - The body of Mia Tresetyani Wadu, who is a flight attendant for the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 plane crash on the Jakarta-Pontianak route, is buried in Mumbul Christian Cemetery, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali.

"We are grateful to all those who have helped, especially friends from Sriwijaya Air, who also greatly helped the smooth process of Mia's funeral today," said Mia Tresetyani's cousin, Yudi Irawan, Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, January 20 yesterday, Mia Tresetyani's body arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, where the handover procession was immediately carried out from the airline to the family. The body then arrives and is buried in the funeral home.

"Yesterday we also had a service and was buried at home one night before Mia was buried today," he said.

During the procession, an atmosphere of grief seemed to envelop the whole family, relatives, colleagues including Mia Tresetyani's colleagues who were present at the funeral.

"At the funeral procession today, many friends came and accompanied Mia because during her life Mia was quite active in organizations. All funeral processes were also supported by the Denpasar Maranatha GPIB Council.

Meanwhile, Sriwijaya Air Denpasar Distric Manager, Hendrik Ardiansah, said that he, representing all levels of Sriwijaya Air management, thanked all parties who have provided support so that the process of repatriating Mia's body to the funeral can run smoothly.

His party is also committed to fulfilling all the rights of Mia Tresetyani's heirs, whose process will continue.

"The management has a high commitment to this and is currently in process. The family also understands that after the funeral is complete, the process of fulfilling rights will continue," said Hendrik Ardiansah.
