JAKARTA - A fisherman was reported missing due to drowning in the sea waters of the border between Tanggulangin and Jogosimo Villages, Kebumen Regency, Central Java.
"Based on the information we received from BPBD Kebumen Regency at 13.30 WIB, it was stated that the boat was hit by a high wave which resulted in a missing fisherman and two other people being saved," he said in Cilacap, reported by Antara, Thursday, January 21.
He said the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, at 10.45 WIB, when three fishermen were pulling their nets by boat around the sea bed of Tanggulangin Village, Klirong District, Kebumen Regency.
But without them knowing it, he said, suddenly came a high wave and immediately hit the boat they were in.
According to him, one of the fishermen known as Tarsan (43), a resident of Dukuh Weton RT 02 RW 02, Tanggulangin Village, jumped into the sea and finally drowned, while two others, Solatin (64) and Saryanto (35), a resident of Dukuh Weton RT 03 RW 02, can save yourself by staying on the boat.
"The two fishermen who survived then pulled ashore and sought help," he said.
Furthermore, Nyoman said that after receiving the information, his party dispatched a Basarnas KPP Cilacap team equipped with various equipment such as two rescue car units, rubber boats, two sets of hazmat suits, and a dirt bike.
According to him, Basarnas KPP Cilacap personnel will join a number of SAR potentials who have been at the scene such as BPBD Kebumen Regency, PMI Kebumen, Klirong Police, Klirong Koramil, Elang Perkasa SAR, RAPI, Orari, Ubaloka, Cross Border SAR, and surrounding communities. .
"In carrying out the SAR operation, we will conduct initial coordination with related parties. We will carry out land sweeping using a dirt bike and sweeping around the bed using a rubber boat," he said.
