Hasto Calls The Theme Of The 3rd PDIP National Working Meeting Implementing Article 34 Of The 1945 Constitution

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that the third PDIP national working meeting (Rakernas) carried the theme 'The poor and neglected children are cared for by the state as stipulated in Article 34 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution (UUD 1945).

"The theme of this National Working Meeting has been decided by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, namely the poor and neglected children being cared for by the state as an order from our constitution," said Hasto at the Lemhannas RI Building, Central Jakarta, Saturday, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the third National Working Meeting of PDIP clearly describes the vision and mission of its party and the future presidential candidate (candidate) Ganjar Pranowo who will bring Indonesia to much better progress and justice.

"That is the hope of the people," he said.

For this reason, his party is concentrating on preparing the National Working Meeting this time which will be held at the PDIP DPP Party School on Lenteng Agung Street, South Jakarta on June 6-8. Then, PDIP will also discuss efforts to win Ganjar Pranowo as PDIP presidential candidate in 2024.

The evaluation related to the preparation of PDIP for 2024 as a whole will also be discussed there.

"The PDI-P is also in the context of evaluating all stages of nomination for legislative members and also consolidating all party ranks in the context of winning the 2024 General Election, including the victory of Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," said Hasto.

Previously, at the second National Working Meeting, PDIP discussed strategic issues including the strategy to win the 2024 General Election. At that time PDIP had not announced Ganjar Pranowo's name as a candidate for presidential candidate.

Regarding the name of the presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate, Hasto emphasized that it was entirely Megawati's prerogative. This will go through deep contemplation and see the momentum present.

Hasto also told how during the implementation of the Second National Working Meeting in Bali in 2018, Megawati suddenly announced Jokowi to run again as a presidential candidate.

"It shows how in addition to carrying out mature calculations, Mrs. Mega also often displays something that is a surprise, there are elements of surprise that are displayed by her. Because the prerogative is with Mrs. Ketum, of course all calculations of careful considerations are in his hands," said Hasto, Thursday (23/6/2022).
