The Mayor Of Pontianak Participates In Praying The Bodies Of Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Passengers, Syifa Mila

PONTIANAK - The mayor of Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Edi Rusdi Kamtono, participated in donating the body of the celebgram Andi Kamila Syifa or Syifa Mila, a passenger on the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 aircraft.

"On behalf of myself and the Pontianak City Government, I express my deepest condolences for the death of Andi Syifa Kamila and other victims who were victims of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 crash," said Edi in Pontianak as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 21.

An atmosphere of grief enveloped Syifa Mila's residence on Jalan Karimun, Pontianak City when the ambulance carrying the body of the make-up arrived.

Syifa's body was immediately taken to the An-Ni'mah Mosque, which is not far from the funeral home, for prayer.

After that, Syifa Mila's body was immediately taken to Punggur Kecil to be buried in a public cemetery.

After the funeral prayers, Edi handed over the population documents in the form of a death certificate in the name of Syifa Mila along with the family card and identity card for Syifa's husband to the family.

The Pontianak City Government assists in the processing of population administration documents for victims of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crash on the Jakarta-Pontianak route, including Syifa Mila.

"We also gave compassion to the victims' families," said Edi.

Edi said that until now there were seven bodies of Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 passengers from Pontianak City who had been repatriated. The bodies of three other people are still being identified.

"We hope that everything can be finished quickly because there are still some who are still waiting," he said.
