Jewelry And Cars Confiscated By The KPK Will Be Auctioned Off Under A Closed Bidding, What Is That?

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will auction off state booty in the form of jewelry and four-wheeled vehicles.

This auction was conducted based on the decision of the Corruption Court at the DKI Jakarta High Court Number 03 / PID / TPK / 2015 / PT.DKI dated March 25, 2015. The auction will be conducted without the presence of auction participants or closed bidding.

"The KPK will carry out an auction for the execution of the booty of the state without the presence of auction participants with the type of auction bid via the internet (closed bidding)," said Acting KPK spokesman for the field of prosecution Ali Fikri, Thursday, January 21.

What is closed bidding?

In the auction, there are at least two types of auction methods that can be carried out by the auctioneer, namely closed bidding and open bidding. In general, closed bidding is defined as closed bidding.

Reported by VOI from the site djkn.kemenkeu.go.id, the closed bidding bid was held online, namely via e-mail (closed from other participants). Auction participants will have the opportunity to bid on items that have been auctioned repeatedly.

Submission of bids can continue until the specified time limit is up, so that the price given will be formed optimally. Due to its closed nature, one auction participant and another cannot find out what price is being proposed.

Meanwhile, open bidding is an open bid, which is the opposite of closed bidding. Bidders in the open auction system can find out the prices submitted by other auction participants.

The KPK and the Jakarta III State Wealth and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) will conduct a closed bidding of state booty from corruption cases. The auction will be conducted through www.lelang.go.id on Tuesday, January 26, with maximum bids until 11.00 WIB.

The booty to be auctioned was in the form of a white gold bracelet with five diamonds, one white gold necklace with five diamond eyes, two white gold earrings with diamond eyes, and a white gold ring with diamonds.

In addition to jewelry, the KPK will also auction off two four-wheeled vehicles in the form of a black Mitsubishi Triton double cabin car and a metallic black Chevrolet Spark with the license plate D 1614 AGU.
