Kemenpora Uses Bandros During SEA Games Athletes Parade For This Reason
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) chose to use the Bandung Tour on Bus aka Bandros fleet rather than Transjakarta buses during the procession and procession of Cambodian 2023 SEA Games athletes in Jakarta. The reason is that this bus has an open roof.
"We ask for an additional ten Transjakarta buses. However, the bus is closed. It is not suitable for parades. So, we chose Bandros," said Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo to reporters, Friday, May 19.
Dito then thanked the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil for sending eight Bandros for the success of the parade. Moreover, the bus was designed with the inspiration of Francisco Tram and a red bus in London, England.
"I thank Pak Ridwan Kamil," he said.
It didn't stop there, the athlete's parade also used an Uncal Bus belonging to the Bogor City Government which was inspired by Bandros. So, the moment was not just a procession but became a place for interaction between athletes and the community.
Dito said the procession was a form of appreciation for the athletes competing in the 2023 Sea Games. They are considered to have exceeded the predetermined target.
"People can see firsthand the athletes who have made the nation proud," he said.
