JAKARTA - The U-22 Indonesian national team, which has just won the 2023 SEA Games gold medal, will be paraded around Jakarta. A group of football lovers have been very enthusiastic about the procession.
In fact, dozens of flower bouquets have been waiting for the procession of the Indonesian national team at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Jakarta roundabout, Friday, May 19. This is to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the Garuda Nusantara team at the 2023 SEA Games.
Residents gathered at the HI Roundabout carrying banners and posters containing thanks to the U-22 national team players who have struggled to get gold at the SEA Games after 32 years of never winning the medal.
The red and white flag was not missed by supporters of the Indonesian Football National Team in the middle of passing vehicles at the heart of the capital city.
Dozens of flower bouquets lined up on the edge of the sidewalk around the HI Roundabout which contained congratulations on the victory of the Indonesian national team in the biggest sporting event in ASEAN.
Local residents who were exercising and passing by were also waiting for the arrival of the players and PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir, as reported by Antara.
There is also a small stage that offers music entertainment, as well as a place for speeches. The plan is for the Chairman of PSSI who is also the Minister of BUMB Erick Thohir to give a speech at the HI Roundabout.
The Indonesian U-22 Football National Team won gold at the SEA Games after defeating Thailand in the final match. The match was full of drama until the extra time ended with a score of 5-2 for Indonesia.
