A Man Dies After Falling From The 4th Floor Of A Shopping Center In Serang City

JAKARTA - The man with the initials SM (21) was found dead after falling from the 4th floor parking lot of a shopping center in Serang City, Banten, Thursday, May 18. Serang Police personnel who received information immediately conducted a crime scene investigation.

Serang Police Chief, Commissioner Tedy Heru confirmed the incident.

"It is true, the Serang Police received a report that the victim died in the basement parking lot at a shopping center in Serang City," said Kompol Tedy in his statement, Thursday, May 18.

Then Kompol Tedy explained, according to witness testimony when he got out of the car from the fourth floor parking lot in a shop, the witness saw the victim climb to the road divider.

"The victim was hanging around holding an iron barrier, then took his hand off the iron so that the victim fell down," he said.

Furthermore, Kompol Tedy said, at that time the witness was still continuing his journey out of the parking lot by car.

However, when the witness returned to the scene, the witness found the victim lying in the basement parking lot dead.

"Furthermore, the witness immediately reported to the security at the entrance," he said.

The victim is known to be listed as a resident of the Ciruas Kejaban Village.

"Currently the victim has been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for further examination. Three witnesses are still being examined," he said.
