Apple Makes It Easy For Users To Find Music Concerts On Maps And Music Apps

JAKARTA - Apple added new capabilities to its Maps and Music apps, to make it easier for users to search and find local events or concerts around where they are.

"Together, these new features celebrate the excitement of live music, and provide more ways for fans and musicians to connect," Apple said in its official release, quoted Wednesday, May 17.

In the Maps app, Apple presents more than 40 new Guides, each curated by editors of Apple Music, which will feature live music events at some of the world's leading cultural centers.

"From the famous Vienna hall to modern tech clubs in Brooklyn and Tokyo, those options are currently spread across more than 10 cities, all that music fans need for unforgettable night entertainment," Apple said.

Through Apple Music Guides, users can browse upcoming events directly from Maps through the module of the discovery of the Shazam concert, where users can take advantage of concert information from world-famous event recommendations and the discovery platform of the artist Bandsintown.

While on Music, Apple also presents a special Set Lists room that will highlight the musicians' main tour agenda, where users can listen to the tracklist and read about its production.

Launching The Verge, other music streaming apps like Spotify also feature concert discovery, but the company went a step further by letting users buy tickets directly from the app.

Apple is currently doing the same thing, by connecting users to third-party ticket sales sites such as Ticketmaster to buy tickets.
