Point The Phone To The Moon, Hear The Leak Of Pearl Jam's New Single
JAKARTA - Pearl Jam gave a leak regarding their new single. Titled Superblood Wolfmoon, this song was revealed through an augmented reality (AR) application.
The Seattle-based grunge band asked fans to point their phones at the moon via the Universal Music app and creative studio POWSTER, to preview tracks playing as the band's animated members appear around the moon.
Superblood Wolfmoon is officially released via streaming services on February 19. The song follows their comeback single Dance of the Clairvoyants, which resulted in three music videos.
Bassist Jeff Ament has previously described the track as a storm of experimentation and true-to-life collaborations that are perfect, mixing instrumentation and forming a great song. Now he adds, the song includes some of Ament's favorite words that Vedder wrote around Matt Cameron's murderous drumming.

Meanwhile guitarist Stone Gossard told Zane Lowe at the Apple Music Beats 1 show that the single is the outer edge of what they previously released. However, the new album will still have a moment that connects with their old fans.
Last week, Pearl Jam previewed another new song, River Cross, in a commercial that aired during the Super Bowl broadcast.
River Cross appears in a new commercial for the American telephone network, Verizon, and will be included on the Gigaton album, released March 27.
