Attorney General's Office Arrests Fugitive Corruption Case In North Sumatra Disaster Prone Map

JAKARTA - The Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur) of the Attorney General's Office and the High Court of North Sumatra have arrested fugitive convicted corruption convict Pendi Sebayang.

Pendi Sebayang was proven to have committed corruption in the making of the District Level Hazard Maps in Karo, Dairi and Pakpak Bharat Districts. The project value is IDR 1.4 billion in the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for the 2012 fiscal year.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) AGO, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntank said, based on the decision of the Supreme Court on October 17, 2017, Pendi Sebayang was found guilty of corruption whose penalty was regulated in Article 2 paragraph 1 jo Article 18 subsidies Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Eradication Law Corruption Crime.

The arrest of the fugitive convict was carried out in Medan at 20.10 WIB. Pendi Sebayang is a DPO Kejari Medan.

"Until now, the Attorney General's Office for 2021 has succeeded in securing the 20 (twenty) people who have been included in the Prosecutor's Wanted List (DPO)," Leonard said in a written statement, Wednesday, January 20.
