Note! Batam Embarkation Ready To Serve Candidates For Hajj Pilgrims From These Four Provinces
The Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation, Riau Islands is ready to serve prospective pilgrims from four provinces in Indonesia, including West Kalimantan, Riau Islands, and Jambi.
Head of the Hajj and Umrah Division of the Riau Islands Ministry of Religion Muhammad Syafii when contacted in Batam, Saturday said that prospective pilgrims from Riau Islands and West Kalimantan would stay at the Batam Hajj Dormitory before leaving for Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, prospective pilgrims from Riau and Jambi only transited at Hang Nadim Batam Airport, which then continued their flight to the Holy Land.
"For the Riau and Jambi pilgrims, they just transit, don't stay overnight," Syafii said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 13.
In this year's Hajj season, Hang Nadim's Embarkation will serve 32 groups of pilgrims who will depart on May 24, 2023.
"Each group consists of 369 pilgrims and five kloster officers. So a total of 374 people. And the first batch departing was from Riau Islands," he said.
He further explained that based on the departure schedule and repatriation of Batam Hajj pilgrims, there were several joint groups, namely group 24 consisting of 43 Riau Islands pilgrims and 326 Jambi pilgrims.

Then the 31 group consisted of 64 Riau Islands pilgrims and 305 West Kalimantan pilgrims. And the 32nd batch consists of 77 Riau pilgrims and 250 Riau pilgrims.
