Jokowi Visits SJ-182 Sriwijaya Air Search Post, Witnesses Donation Of Victims' Families
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo visited the JICT II Integrated Command Post, which became an emergency post for the evacuation of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 aircraft in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
Jokowi arrived at the JICT II Command Post at 14.00 WIB. He was welcomed by the Navy (Kasal) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, Head of the National Search and Relief Agency (Basarnas) Vice Marshal TNI Bagus Puruhito, Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) Soerjanto Tjahjono.
Wearing his trademark clothes, white shirt and black trousers, Jokowi went to the Basarnas and TNI AL to ask for information about the SAR operation to search Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 today.
"I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation, the highest appreciation to the joint SAR team consisting of the Ministry of Transportation, Basarnas, TNI, Polri, and NTSC as well as elements that I cannot mention one by one, for the hard work since the beginning of the disaster until the moment. this, "said Jokowi at the location, Wednesday, January 20.
Jokowi also witnessed the provision of compensation by the Director of Jasa Rahaja and the President Director of Sriwijaya Air to representatives of the heirs and the families of the victims.
Symbolically, Jasa Raharja provides compensation of IDR 50 million per passenger to the victim's family. Then, Sriwijaya provides compensation of IDR 1.25 billion per passenger.
"Thank you for this compensation and it will be resolved immediately for all victims and passengers," said Jokowi.
"I also want to convey my deep condolences to the family, hopefully sincerity and patience will be given," he continued.
For information, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane was declared to have crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands, to be precise between Male Island and Lancang Island on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Data compiled by Basarnas on the eleventh day of search, namely Tuesday, January 19 at 20.30 WIB, explained that there were findings of 324 body bags containing body parts.
Then, as many as 115 aircraft materials were found, with the details of 63 small bags containing aircraft debris and 55 large aircraft pieces.
Currently, the SAR team has also found a black box type flight data recorder (FDR) and a black box cockpit voice recorder (CVR) shell. Meanwhile, CVR core memory has not been found.
Based on the findings of the SAR team in the form of body parts and properties belonging to the victims, the National Police's disaster victim identification (DVI) team has identified 40 victims as of Tuesday, January 19 at 17.00 WIB.
