Citizens Told Elon Musk To Come To Indonesia: If Not, We Boycott Tesla And Plug It In With Vivan Chargers

JAKARTA - The CEO and Founder of Tesla's electric car, Elon Musk, received an 'order' from netizens on social media Twitter. The SpaceX boss was asked to come to Indonesia.

On Monday January 18th, Elon Musk tweeted about electric batteries. A number of netizens also replied to Musk's writing.

"The very important problem is u and ur team, so come here or not, the nyangkuters need u," wrote the account @ trickyinvestor when replying to Elon Musk's tweet.

The reply expressed by the netizen was allegedly due to the fact that the share prices of a number of mining companies related to the electric vehicle industry had sped up. Take, for example, shares of PT Timah Tbk (TINS), PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), and also PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM).

However, the three stocks fell compactly at the close of trading, Tuesday, January 19 yesterday. Antam fell 20.1 percent when compared to the highest price in the last five days, or to 2,710 per share. Meanwhile, in the same period TINS shares fell 16.5 percent and INCO fell 14.1 percent.

The @trickyinvestor account even wrote a 'threatening' tweet - even though it is known that this is a typical Indonesian joke - namely about the many people who are desperate to borrow money here and there so they can buy shares in the industrial sector related to electricity.

Actually, the news of Elon Musk going to Indonesia was widely heard since the end of last year. The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan even said that Musk would visit Indonesia in December 2020 but to no avail.

The @trickyinvestor account is not alone. There is also an @taufichhilman account which also expressed hope for the Tesla boss to come to Indonesia soon.

"If we don't come here, we'll boycott Tesla and plug it in using a Vivo charger," he wrote.
