52 Anti-Monarki Demonstrators Arrested When Charles III Named King Of England
JAKARTA - The police arrested 52 anti-monoarchist demonstrators during the procession of King Charles'appropriation ceremony which took place on Saturday 6 May.
Citing Metro.co.uk, the demonstration from this Republican group took place in central London as King Charles was crowned in the coronasi process at the Westminster Abbey church and after that, his wife Camilla, was crowned Queen.
Hundreds of these demonstrators crowded the center of London. They unfurled a poster that read "Not my King".
The crowd also ridiculed King Charles and Queen Camilla as the two left Westminster Abbey for a march on mid-Jadon street on the Golden Kencana Train.
Police have provided information regarding the arrest of 52 demonstrators, including the leader of the Republic group, Graham Smiths. Police admit the detention was carried out to prevent potential riots.
"We really understand the public's concerns that we secured this morning," Commander Karen Findlay of the London Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Karen admitted to arrests based on police operations over the past 24 hours. In that operation, Karen continued, received information from protesters determined to interfere with the sinuling procession of King Charles.
The arrests received protests from demonstrators. One of them was Kevin John, 57, a merchant from the equator. "This is disgusting and excessive," he added.
Protests calling for this anti-monoarchy were not only held in central London, but also took place in Glasgow, Scotland and Cardiff, Wales.
