Head of Pante Ceureumen Sub-district, West Aceh Regency, Zulkarnain, said that around 41 families were affected by the flood of river water.
According to him, the flood problem experienced by people in Seimantok Village, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, has often occurred, especially during heavy rains.
In just this week, said Zulkarnain, dozens of houses in the area have been flooded with water levels reaching 50 centimeters above the road, and inundating residents' houses.
He said the cause of flooding that occurred in the area was because river cliffs in the area continued to be eroded by erosion, thus threatening houses and community settlements.
The sub-district head of Zulkarnain said that apart from the flood problem, his party hopes that the erosion problem in Seimantok Village, Pante Ceureumen District can be immediately resolved by related parties.
According to him, it is hoped that the 100 meters long river cliffs in the area will soon be handled with gabions, so that erosion will no longer occur.
"The problem of flooding and erosion has often been felt by the community, we hope that there will be serious treatment from related parties soon," said the sub-district head of Zulkarnain.
Meanwhile, the Village Head (Keuchik) of Seimantok, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, Kasri said that his party hopes that the flood and erosion problems that occur in their village will soon be handled by the local government.
"Hopefully this natural disaster problem will be resolved soon, we hope that the local government will pay attention to this complaint immediately," said Kasri with hope.
