KPK Auction Of Land Owned By Former South Lampung Regent Zainudin Hasan

JAKARTA - The KPK, through the State Wealth and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) in Bandar Lampung, will auction off a plot of land belonging to a former corruption convict, South Lampung Regent Zainudin Hasan.

"As part of the KPK's efforts to continue providing revenue for the state treasury, based on the Decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 113 K / Pid.Sus / 2020 dated January 28, 2020 on behalf of Zainudin Hasan, the KPK will conduct an auction for execution of booty in public through the KPKNL Bandarlampung, "said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 19 evening.

The object to be auctioned is a plot of land in Kedaton Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung, according to the Land Book Number 127 Kedaton Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung, with an area of 18,515 square meters. The land is not equipped with a freehold title.

There is also a land limit price of IDR 4,390,590,000 and auction participants are also required to provide a security deposit of IDR1 billion.

Ali explained that the auction will be held on Tuesday (16/2) at 08.30 WIB by means of the auction bid using the "closed bidding" method by accessing https://www.lelang.go.id.

"Determination of the winner of the auction after the deadline for bidding, settlement of the auction price in 5 working days after the auction, and the buyer's auction fee of 2 percent of the auction price," said Ali.

Zainudin was convicted in a bribery case and Money Laundering (TPPU) related to a project at the PUPR Office of South Lampung Regency.

Zainudin was sentenced by the Panel of Judges to the Class IA Tanjungkarang District Court on April 25, 2019, with a 12-year prison sentence and a fine of IDR 500 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.

In addition, Zainudin was also obliged to pay a replacement fee of Rp.66,772,092,145, a subsidiary of 2 years in prison.

Zainudin also had time to file an appeal to the Supreme Court (MA), but it was rejected so that Zainudin was still sentenced to 12 years in prison as decided by the Tanjungkarang Class IA District Court.
