112 West Sulawesi Earthquake Victims Flee To Makassar

MAKASSAR - Acting Head of South Sulawesi Social Service, Gemala Faoza, recorded a total of 686 earthquake victims in West Sulawesi (Sulbar) who entered South Sulawesi (Sulsel).

"Yes, for those who enter South Sulawesi, as of today 686," Gemala told VOI, Tuesday, January 19.

Of the 686 people, 112 refugees were currently taking refuge in two places, namely the Haji Sudiang Dormitory and the Social Service Office at Jalan AP Pettarani. While others were picked up by their families in South Sulawesi.

There are 84 people in Dinsos and 28 victims of the earthquake in West Sulawesi in the Hajj Dormitory. The 28 victims of this earthquake are the ninth wave that has just arrived via air today from the Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base (Lanud).

"The large part is accommodated. Some of them are picked up by their families. Because maybe they are originally from here, go to be picked up by their families, or at most go straight home. So those who are accommodated are those who do not have their families in Makassar City, so, on average, Java Middle, East, with Balikpapan, "said Gemala.

"The possibility is still increasing, because it is not stable there (Sulbar)," he continued.
