Amazon Launches NFT Marketplace Soon

JAKARTA - Amazon is rumored to be launching its NFT marketplace on May 15 according to an NFT collector named Moritz. Amazon's NFT market details first emerged from Blockworks in January, stating that the platform will focus on blockchain games and NFT collections related to the game. Amazon itself did not provide an official announcement about these rumors.

According to Yahoo Finance, Amazon's platform will connect with physical products for delivery and will have 15 collections that can be traded on launch dates. In addition, Amazon accounts can serve as NFT wallets, allowing users not to need special crypto wallets like MetaMask.

Moritz claims that NFTs can be paid using standard payment methods, such as other Amazon purchases, and NFTs can be saved on user Amazon accounts.

In addition, Moritz also stated that Amazon will launch its personal blockchain that can be operated with Ethereum, Avalanche, and Chainlink. The platform will be launched in the US and called the "Amazon Digital Marketplace".

In a comparison between Coinbase and Amazon, Moritz pointed out that Amazon has greater potential for NFT success as it has a much larger number of users, especially as Amazon focuses on unsurpped customer bases.

Although Moritz predicts that Amazon's NFT market will experience a slow start, he still sees this venture as an important milestone for the crypto industry. According to him, "this is a big step for our space".

According to a Cryptoslate report, to date, Amazon has not responded to its planned NFT market launch. However, NFT collectors and enthusiasts are looking forward to the launch of Amazon's NFT market, and with an easy and integrated shopping experience, it can open the NFT market to more consumers.
