OJK Appeals After Losing To Bosowa About Bukopin At PTUN Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) gave an official statement after the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) decision granted PT Bosowa Corporindo's lawsuit against OJK regarding the strengthening of the capital of PT Bank Bukopin Tbk.
Through the Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics of the OJK, Anto Prabowo, the authority said that it respects the decision of the State Administrative Court (PTUN) Judge regarding the lawsuit of PT Bosowa Corporindo against OJK regarding the Decree of the Board of Commissioners (KDK) Number 64 / KDK.03 / 2020 with case number 163 /G/2020/PTUN.JKT.
"Regarding the decision, OJK will process the appeal," he said, Tuesday, January 19.
On this occasion, OJK as the institution that oversees and protects the financial services industry ensures that every banking service at Bukopin can run smoothly as usual.
"OJK also said that Bank Bukopin's operations would not be disrupted, so that customers and the public could continue to carry out transactions and banking services as usual," said Anto.
For information, PTUN Jakarta granted Bosowa's lawsuit on Monday, January 18, 2021 after the company registered the lawsuit on September 15, 2020.
At that time, Bosowa felt 'stepped over' by the OJK which was deemed to have eliminated the voting rights at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) through the Decree of the OJK Board of Commissioners No.64 / KDK.03 / 2020 concerning the Results of the Revaluation of Bosowa as Controlling Shareholder.
The authorities themselves considered that Bosowa had committed certain violations which should be given such sanctions. Meanwhile, the demands granted by the Jakarta State Administrative Court include postponing the Decree of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority No.64 / KDK.03 / 2020 and punishing the defendant to pay court fees incurred.
