Update On COVID-19 Cases As Of January 19: 10,365 New Cases, Healing Up 8,013
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 70,634 specimens were examined with results of 10,365 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 927,380 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, January 19.
Cases recovered today increased by 8,013 so that a total of 753,948 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 308 people and a total of 26,590 people.
The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 2,563 new cases and a total of 232,289 cases. DKI is the province with the most cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 1,684 new cases with a total of 115,756 cases. Central Java has 1,613 new cases and a total of 106,076 cases. Then, East Java has 972 new cases and a total of 101,197 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2,385 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 1,362 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 814 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 715 cases recovered.
No province reported having no new cases as of today. The province that reported new cases under 10 was East Nusa Tenggara with 7 cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined was 8,433,961. In detail, as many as 8,298,449 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 135,512 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The cumulative positive results per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 16.5 percent," he wrote.
Finally, for the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 76,971 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
