Bandung City Government Targets Riau Road To Be Free Of Air Cables This Year
BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) targets that along Jalan LLR E Martadinata (Riau Street) to the intersection of Jalan Ahmad Yani can be free of air cables in 2023."We are targeting that 2023 will be completed," said Bandung Mayor Ema Sumarna Daily Executive (Plh) in Bandung, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 2.Ema said that her party continued the process of controlling air cables, especially outside PLN cables starting from the Riau- Merdeka Street intersection, precisely in front of Sariningsih Hospital."We are continuing the process of controlling air cables, especially outside PLN cables. The cable here is Telkom kebel and other telecommunication providers. We are coordinating with Apjatel (Association of Telecommunication Network Operators) in this control effort," said Ema.The control of cables on Jalan Riau, said Ema, is a continuation of the previous first route, namely from the intersection of the Dago Intersection to Jalan Riau.For now, said Ema, the process of decreasing the cable is still on the left side from the front of Sariningsih Hospital to the intersection of Banda Street, which is 900 meters long."After this cut, there was a cable heated, then it was rolled up. After that, the Water Resources and Highways Office tidied up the sidewalks and so on. So I apologize if there is traffic disruption in this process," he said.Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Communications and Information Office, Yayan A. Brilyana, said that in the control, after the cable reduction, it would continue with the rolling of cables.
"We have 30 cables rolled. We cleaned up four intersections and 150 poles had to be cut. So we cleaned it up to the left first, then right on Jalan Riau where there are 30 providers of cable owners," said Yayan.
