Ambon Immigration Deports Dutch Citizens Provocation Of Raising RMS Flags
AMBON - The Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ambon deported a foreign national (WNA) from the Netherlands for allegedly provoking the flag-raising of the South Maluku Republic (RMS).
"Actually, deportation had to be carried out three days ago, but there were ticket problems in question from Jakarta to the Netherlands at a price of around Rp. 20 million, so that humanityally investigators detained the Immigration Office Class I TPI Ambon," said Head of Immigration Class I TPI Ambon Abdurab Ely in Ambon as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 1.
Because the foreigner will only be dispatched from Jakarta to the Netherlands on May 4, his party is currently carrying out a deportation action process.
"The Dutch national on behalf of GA today departed for Jakarta on a Garuda plane and was escorted by two officers from the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ambon," he said.
Before deporting, his party received a report that the Dutch foreign national was suspected of provoking and indoctriting the increase in the RMS flag in Aboru Village, Central Maluku Regency.
"We obtained this information from the Maluku Police Chief through the Ambon Island Police Chief and PP Lease that there had been provocations, parades and the flying of the RMS flag in Aboru Village involving foreign Dutch nationals on behalf of GA," said Ely.
The chronology of the incident on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, when the Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ambon received information from the Maluku Police Intel regarding the plan to arrest foreigners suspected of being members of RMS at Pattimura International Airport Ambon.
It was found that the foreigner was about to leave Ambon by plane on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Finally, the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team of the Immigration Office joined a team from the Maluku Police Intelligence to provide security and meet the families of foreigners suspected of being RMS sympathizers and his wife.
This Dutch citizen with the initials GA came to Indonesia via Soekarno Hatta International Airport using an on-arrival visa.
According to the immigration authorities, the police have communicated with the Regent of Central Maluku, Raja Aboru, and Saniri Negeri and found a violation of administration in a Dutch foreigner with the initials GA.
In addition, GA also provoked and indoctrinated the public to fly the RMS flag.
The foreigner from the Netherlands was proven to have violated Article 75 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration so that he needed to be deported.
"There is no strong evidence for Pro Justitia's actions against Dutch foreigners on behalf of GA but the person concerned is still given a deterrent effect, namely, Immigration administration actions in the form of deportation and is included in the banned list," said Ely.
