Completed Agreement, David Alaba Owned Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Real Madrid has reached an agreement with David Alaba. The man with the Austrian passport became Los Blancos' first player for next season.

The Bayern Munich defender will join the Spanish giants when his contract with the Bavarian club expires on June 30. He has agreed a four-year deal with a salary of close to 11 million euros per year in an offer made at the club's offices in Valdebebas, as MARCA reported on January 2.

Alaba has been free to negotiate with any club since January 1 and Real Madrid have not wasted a second to get the European champions to their home base as quickly as possible. The player has even undergone a medical examination for his future club.

The 28-year-old has been a target of big European clubs with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Chelsea registering their interest with agent Pini Zahavi.

However Alaba has shown an interest in playing in La Liga. After 10 seasons with Bayern, he is not afraid that his contract will run out in Germany as he already has goals in the country of Matador.

Bayern have made three offers to Alaba in recent months, but club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge acknowledged them in November the talks ended.

"We had a lot of conversations with his agent, there was a last meeting and a proposal with a deadline in October, our offer was not accepted and our president withdrew," Rummenigge explained as quoted by MARCA.

"We did everything we could to reach an agreement, he just had to accept, but it didn't work."

From then on, Bayern had to be willing to lose their versatile defender and allow him to negotiate with other clubs.
