JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower reported that the budget for the wage subsidy assistance program (BSU) for workers until the end of December 2020 had been distributed reaching 98.91 percent.

Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah explained that as of December 31, 2020, from the target recipient of 12.4 million workers with a budget of IDR 29.7 trillion, the realization had reached IDR 29.4 trillion. The number of recipients is different for each distribution wave.

"The total realization is Rp. 29.4 trillion, the percentage is 98.91 percent. Now we are in the process of reconciling the data by the channeling bank," he said at a joint working meeting with Commission IX of the DPR, Monday, January 18.

Ida conveyed that the realization of the first batch of BSU distribution for the September-October period was 12,293,134 workers with a budget of IDR 14.7 trillion or 99.11 percent. This means that from this first batch, there were 110,762 workers who did not receive BSU.

Then in wave II, namely November 2020, from the same target recipient and budget as wave I, the realization was that this BSU had been distributed to 12,244,169 workers, with a budget of IDR 14.69 trillion.

"The percentage is smaller, namely 98.71 percent. There are 159,727 workers who have not been distributed," he said.

Ida said that the BSU budget that was not distributed to workers was returned to the state treasury.

"The BSU budget which has not been distributed as of December 31, will be returned to the state treasury as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance," he said.
