Rp. 4 Billion Allocation For Elderly Affected By COVID-19 In Pamekasan Through Puskesmas In 13 Districts
JAKARTA - The District Government (Pemkab) Pamekasan, East Java (Jatim) has allocated a budget of IDR 4 billion to help elderly people (elderly) affected by COVID-19 in the region.
Head of Social Service for Pamekasan Regency Government, Moh Tarsun, said that such a large budget would be allocated in the form of food, namely for lunch and dinner.
"The pattern of distribution is through community health centers spread across 13 sub-districts in Pamekasan," he explained as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 18.
Apart from providing food assistance, the elderly recipients of the aid also receive regular medical examinations by medical personnel.
"There are around 400 elderly people affected by COVID-19 who will receive this assistance in 2021," said Tarsun.
Apart from supporting the central government program in trying to ease the burden on residents affected by COVID-19, the food assistance program for the elderly is also a form of district government attention to residents.
"The main target is the poor and underprivileged," said Tarsun.
This food aid by the Pamekasan Regency Government to the Elderly is one form of direct assistance held by the Pamekasan Regency Government during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other types of rocks include direct cash assistance from village funds (BLT-DD), groceries assistance to PKH participants, assistance to farmers and artists affected by COVID-19, and business capital assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises.
