Jasa Raharja Ensures All Passengers On Manifest Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Get Compensation
JAKARTA - Jasa Raharja ensures that all the families of passengers on the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 aircraft manifest that crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands will receive compensation.
This assurance was conveyed by the Director of Risk Management and Information Technology, Jasa Raharja Wahyu Wibowo. He said whether or not the passenger of the plane was identified, the passenger's family was still entitled to compensation because their names had been validated in the manifest.
"Yes, in principle you can (compensation, red), yes, in principle you can. Later we will find a way for how the victim can get the document. Documents such as manifest," said Wahyu to reporters at Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Monday, January 18.
"When it is declared that it is not found, for example, there will be an announcement that it is declared missing, that is enough," he added.
As for the amount of this compensation, it will still be adjusted to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 15 / PMK.010 / 2017, which is IDR 50 million and the grant will be channeled through a predetermined account.
It is known, as of today, the number of passengers who have been identified has reached 34 people.
Most recently, the DVI team has identified five people, namely Fathima Ashalina M (2); Athar Rizky Riawan (8); Didi Gunardi (49) who is an extra pilot for Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 flight attendant; Gita Lestari (36); and Rahmania Ekananda (39). The five people were identified by DNA matching methods.
Previously reported, the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane on the Jakarta-Pontianak route had lost contact in the Thousand Islands shortly after taking off from Soekarno Hatta Airport on Saturday, January 9, 2020. Furthermore, the authorities confirmed if the plane crashed around Male Island and Lancang Island, Thousand Islands.
The total aircraft carried 62 people, including 12 crew members and 50 passengers consisting of 40 adult passengers, seven children and three babies.
