Ragunan Wildlife Park Urges Visitors Not To Smoke To Keep Clean Air And Protect Animals

JAKARTA - For a long time, Ragunan Wildlife Park has become a favorite Eid holiday destination that is in a strategic location for Jakarta residents and its surroundings.

Ragunan visitors today, Tuesday, April 25 until 16.00 WIB were recorded at 106,000 people and there may still be additions.

For this reason, the manager of the Ragunan Wildlife Park in South Jakarta is committed to maintaining clean air by urging visitors not to smoke at these tourist attractions.

"This building is an area that is indeed a 'clean area', the clean air that we guard. If visitors smoke, it means that they pollute the air here, which is clean," said Ragunan Wildlife Park Service and Public Relations Staff (Humas) Wahyudi Bambang when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday.

According to Bambang, visitors who come to Ragunan definitely want to enjoy clean air. Therefore, the Ragunan Wildlife Park manager hopes that visitors will not litter the air with cigarette smoke.

His party also conveyed an appeal and conducted socialization in the form of writing at the entrance and on each side and loudspeakers to visitors so as not to smoke in the Ragunan area.

It is undeniable, said Bambang, that visitors to Ragunan Wildlife Park are still found smoking in the crowded place.

Even though the manager wants to make Ragunan a smoke-free space in accordance with Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2010 Amendments to Governor Regulation Number 75 of 2005 concerning Prohibited Smoking Areas.

"So far we are still reprimanding, especially areas where people gather," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.

Excessive smoke and noisy sound also disturb the animals. "We also remind the excessive horn," said Bambang.

Likewise, visitors who are also not allowed to sound music with a loud volume and can disturb the animals in Ragunan.
