After Examining The Rizieq Shihab Case, Bima Arya Will Be Sanctioned At The Bogor UMMI Hospital
JAKARTA - The Mayor and Chair of the Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Bima Arya, said that in the near future he would impose sanctions on UMMI Hospital. This sanction was given because UMMI Hospital was not cooperative regarding the information on Rizieq Shihab's condition.
"What form of sanctions are we still investigating. The sanctions must be in accordance with the rules. Certainly (give sanctions)," said Bima to reporters, after being examined as a witness in the Rizieq Shihab case, Monday, January 18.
The witnessing, said Bima, was because the UMMI Hospital seemed to cover up the spread of COVID-19. In fact, UMMI Hospital is a referral hospital for handling COVID-19 which must coordinate all matters related to patient handling.
"We are doing this to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 if the hospital is not cooperative, how can we break the chain of transmission, that's the main point," he said.
In fact, Bima again emphasized that this issue was not motivated by political matters. All problems that occur are based on the rules for handling and implementing health protocols.
"This is not a political issue, nothing. It is a matter of health protocols that must be obeyed," he said.
Previously, Ummi Hospital had blocked the work of the COVID-19 Task Force when he wanted to check Rizieq Shihab's health condition. Even the main director of the hospital, Andi Tatat, said Rizieq was in good health. From the initial examination or screening, he continued, there were no symptoms that led to COVID-19.
"It is true that Habib Rizieq went to Ummi Hospital yesterday, entered the ER, because he was tired, indeed with his activities he immediately returned (from Saudi), immediately went to the marathon," said Andi, Thursday (26/11/2020).
"Currently, his condition is in good condition, but it is still under our monitoring. From the initial screening, he did not show any symptoms of Covid-19," Andi continued.
