Better For Ganjar, Prabowo, And Anies To Advance And Then Fight In The 2024 Presidential Election
JAKARTA - Political observer from Al Azhar Indonesia University, Ujang Komarudin, predicts that based on the current political dynamics in the country, there will be three presidential candidates (candidates) in the 2024 presidential election.
"If you look at the current dynamics, there may be three (candidates)," Ujang said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.
He said the three presidential candidates were the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo who was promoted by the PDI-P (PDIP), Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto who was potentially promoted by the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB), as well as former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who was promoted by the NasDem Party, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the Democratic Party.
"Better, the three of them are fighting in the 2024 presidential election," added Ujang.
Even so, according to Ujang, the number of presidential candidates is still dynamic depending on the development of political dynamics in Indonesia in the future. He assessed that there is also a possibility that the 2024 presidential election will only be followed by two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.
"Everything is still versatile, all dynamic, still completely fluid. It is possible that the coalition format may still be formed, it will happen. Maybe, three axes can depend on the dynamics, the future political developments," he said.
Earlier on Friday, April 21, PDIP had appointed Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate for 2024-2029 at the 140th Party DPP Meeting Expanded by the Three Pillars with the agenda of internal consolidation and the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah gathering at Batu Tulis Palace, Bogor, West Java.

In addition, candidate pairs can also be promoted by political parties or a combination of political parties participating in the 2019 Election with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
