Up 27.42 Percent During The Eid Holiday, A Total Of 1.53 Million Vehiclespaled On The Trans Sumatra Toll Road
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya noted, from D-7 Lebaran 2023 or on Saturday, April 15 to D+1 Lebaran 2023 or Sunday, April 23, a total of 1,534,188 vehicles had crossed the JTTS sections managed by Hutama Karya. This figure increased by 27.42 percent when compared to normal traffic volume.
EVP of the Operations & Maintenance Division of the PT Hutama Karya Toll Road, Dwi Aryono Bayuaji, predicts that there will still be an increase in the volume of vehicle traffic on the 2023 Lebaran backflow, whose peak will occur from Tuesday, April 25, 2023 to Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
He appealed to drivers to continue to comply with the provisions, namely driving at a maximum speed of 80 km/hour, checking the condition of the vehicle before driving, ensuring that it drives in prime condition and does not drive sleepy, and ensuring that the balance of electronic money cards is sufficient before traveling.
"Hutama Karya will continue to update the latest developments regarding the volume of traffic in JTTS and urge travelers to be able to comply with the provisions and regulations that apply on toll roads," said Dwi Aryono in his official statement, Tuesday, April 25.
In detail, Dwi Aryono said, on D+1 Lebaran or Sunday, April 23, 2023, there were 6,749 vehicles leaving Sumatra via the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Section which is the final exit from the Trans Sumatra Toll Road or an increase of 57.32 percent when compared to normal traffic volume.

The following is the details of traffic volume on several Trans Sumatra toll roads on D+1 Lebaran:
- The Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar section is 64,510 vehicles or 57.32 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- The Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung section is 23,993 vehicles or 55.38 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- Palembang-Indralaya section as many as 15,116 vehicles or 67.65 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- Bengkulu-Taba Penjung section as many as 3,896 vehicles or higher 131.14 percent of the normal traffic volume.
- The Pekanbaru-Dumai section is 21,719 vehicles or 119.27 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- Pekanbaru-Bangkinang section as many as 11,240 vehicles or 119.70 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- Medan-Binjai section as many as 53,068 vehicles or 26.81 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- The Binjai-Langsa Section 1 (Binjai-Stabat) section is 14,331 vehicles or 57.25 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
- The Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 2, 3 & 4 as many as 6,795 vehicles or 100.36 percent higher than the normal traffic volume.
Meanwhile, the accumulated VLL of additional functional toll roads during Eid homecoming and homecoming flows, namely:
- The Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 5 & 6 for the April 15-23 period is 4,904 vehicles passing.
- Binjai-Langsa Section 2 (Stabat-Kuala Bingai/Jalan Proklamasi) for the April 16-23 period as many as 11,662 passing vehicles.
- Indralaya-Prabumulih section for the April 15-23 period as many as 41,183 passing vehicles.
- The Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat section for the April 15-23 period is 64,318 vehicles passing.
