End Of April, Eight Percent Of Regions In Indonesia Have Entered A Dry Season
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that eight percent of Indonesia entered the dry season or dry season at the end of April 2023.
"Based on the number of ZOM (Zona Musim) as many as eight percent of Indonesia's territory enters the dry season," said Acting Deputy for Climatology, BMKG, Dodo Gunawan, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 24.
He explained that areas experiencing the dry season include eastern Aceh, eastern North Sumatra, southern Riau, southern part of Nusa Tenggara, southern Gorontalo, eastern Central Sulawesi, eastern South Sulawesi, southern Southeast Sulawesi, parts of the Maluku Islands, and parts of North Maluku.
Dodo also said that at Dasarian III April 2023, a number of areas are generally predicted to experience rainfall at low to medium criteria (20-150 mm/dasarian).
He said the areas that were predicted to experience rain were low criteria or less than 50 mm/based in most North Maluku and Maluku, parts of Sumatra, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, a small part of West Papua and Papua.

Meanwhile, areas that are predicted to experience rain of medium criteria (50-150 mm/dasarian) are located in most parts of West Papua and Papua, parts of Sumatra, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, a small part of North Maluku and Maluku.
Meanwhile, areas that are predicted to experience high- to very high- category rain or more than 150 mm/dasarian include western and southern parts of West Java, West Flores, Kupang, northern South Sulawesi.
