D+1 Eid, 464,104 People Cross From Sumatra To Java Via Merak Port
MERAK - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) on the homecoming and returning traffic of Eid 1444 H/2023 on H-10 to D+1 or Sunday April 23 transported 464,104 people from Sumatra Island to Java.
Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Shelvy Arifin, stated that the number of passengers who crossed from Sumatra to Java during H-10 until H+1 reached 464,104 people, an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year, which was 435,586 people.
"The total number of vehicles that have crossed is 89,807 units, an increase of 3% compared to the same period last year, which was 86,976 units," Ferry quoted ANTARA as saying on Monday, April 24.
Similarly, the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra during H-10 until H+1 was recorded as 970,210 people, an increase of 3% compared to the same period last year, which was 942,132 people.
Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles that have crossed is 224,039 units, an increase of 2% compared to the same period last year, which was 219,460 units, he added.
Based on data from the Bakauheni checkpoint for 24 hours (from April 23, 2023 at 8:00 AM WIB to April 24, 2023 at 8:00 AM WIB) or H+1, the number of operating ships was recorded as 29 units.
The total number of passengers was recorded as 47,405 people, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year, which was 42,165 people.
The total number of four-wheeled vehicles was recorded as 6,531 units, an increase of 13% compared to the same period last year, which was 5,771 units.
The number of logistic trucks that have crossed from Sumatra to Java reached 304 units, a decrease of 6% compared to the same period last year, which was 324 units.
The total number of all vehicles recorded was 10,045 units that have crossed from Sumatra to Java on H+1, an increase of 13% compared to the same period last year, which was 8,914 units.
On the other hand, data from the Merak checkpoint on H+1 (24 hours) recorded the total number of passengers as 50,156 people, an increase of 4% compared to the same period last year, which was 48,069 people.
The total number of four-wheeled vehicles was recorded as 6,403 units, a decrease of 1% compared to the same period last year, which was 6,482 units.
