Members Of The TNI And Polri Clash In Kupang, 4 Police Treated Intensively
JAKARTA - Four members of the NTT Police are still being treated intensively for being victims of riots in Kupang, Wednesday, April 19 evening. The riot involved members of the TNI and Polri.
"The victims were only members of the National Police. Three were treated at RSB (Bhayangkara Kupang Hospital) and one was treated at the Wirasakti Hospital," said the NTT Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Johny Asadoma when giving a statement, Thursday, April 20.
The riots stemmed from a commotion involving TNI personnel and members of the National Police during the final match between the Ranaka NTT Police futsal team and the TTS Regency P&K Service futsal team.
This riot between supporters led to the burning of several NTT Regional Police vehicles to the destruction of police posts in Kupang City.
In addition to the injured victims, two motorbikes from the National Police, namely RX King and Yamaha Vixion, were heavily damaged. In fact, one motorbike at the Police Post was burned by the masses.
"Three civilian motorbikes were lightly damaged, one motorbike at the Police Post was burned, one patrol car at the LLBK Post around the old terminal was burned and the Pam Polri Post was damaged and the Kuanino Police Post was heavily damaged," he explained.
