Members of Detachment 88 Victims of Terrorist Attack from Uzbekistan Finally Passed Away
JAKARTA - The National Police's Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror team lost one of its best members, Bripda Dhendri Ahmad Septia, the victim of a stabbing at the North Jakarta Immigration Office by three perpetrators of criminal acts of terrorism from Uzbekistan.
"Brief Brigadier Dhendri Ahmad Septian, member of the Special Anti-terror Special Detachment 88 for the Police, has died at the Kelapa Gading Family Hospital", said Spokesman for the Special Detachment 88 for Anti-terror Police Commissioner Aswin Siregar, quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Thursday, April 20 2023.
According to Aswin, Bripda Dhendri died this afternoon at 11.15 WIB, after undergoing intensive treatment due to several stab wounds, when he thwarted an escape attempt by three Uzbek nationals who were trying to escape from the North Jakarta Immigration Office's detention room, Monday, April 10.
Three of the four Uzbek citizens carried out attacks on immigration officials and Densus members who were guarding them. The attack occurred while the officer was preparing for sahur.
The three perpetrators attacked five officers using a kitchen knife obtained from the pantry. The perpetrator broke into the detention room platform to escape because he did not want to be deported to his home country.
One of the three perpetrators who fled was arrested in less than 24 hours, while one perpetrator was found dead after jumping into Kali Sunter.
The four Uzbek foreigners who carried out the attack were Bekhzod Anorbek Ugli Baytoev (BAB), Olimjon Mukhtor Ugli Makhmudov (OMM), Murodjon Ibrokhimjon Ugli Rakhimov (MIR) and Bakhromjon KabilDjanovich Azizov (BKA). The four were arrested on Friday (24/3) because they were involved in attacking radical propaganda via the internet.

Three of the four Uzbek citizens tried to escape and attacked Immigration officers and Detachment 88, while one actor Bakhromjon Kabil Djanovich Azizov (BKA) did not take part in the incident.
"Currently the body is on its way to be buried in his hometown in Yogyakarta", said Aswin.
Regarding the death of Bripda Dhendri after undergoing medical treatment as a result of a stab wound in an attack incident by a citizen of Uzbekistan, whether to be promoted to posthumously, Aswin said, his party would give their best.
"We will give the best for the deceased, to commemorate his services", said Aswin.
