Hundreds Of Muscle Cars In This Museum Will Be Auctioned Weekend
JAKARTA - More than 200 cars from the Muscle Car City Museum in Punta Gorda, Florida, United States will be auctioned at an event organized by the management on January 22-23.
Built by Rick Treworgy, the Muscle Car City Museum focuses on the Chevrolet collection, where there are around 80 Corvette models from each generation, as reported by The Drive.
The various vehicles that will be auctioned off by this museum are sure to attract car collectors. Not only unique, muscle cars that are auctioned are rare and are being hunted by many people. Moreover, the auction mechanism is open, without prior ordering.
For the auction on Friday, January 22, a number of collections guaranteed to tempt collectors will be presented. Starting from various Chevrolet pickups from the 1950s and 1960s, a large number of Chevrolet Camaro, Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air to the Chevrolet K5 Blazer.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, January 23, the collection that will be auctioned is still dominated by Corvettes. Mostly old models from 1990 and 1991, as well as a number of classic Corvette Stingray models. However, there are also a number of modern collections that will be auctioned, such as the 2010 Corvette ZR1, 2016 Corvette Z06, and the 2020 Corvette Stingray.
It is known, Treworgy plans to retire and close this museum in 2022. However, along with the COVID-19 pandemic and the decreasing number of visitors, this museum was forced to sell faster by auctioning it through Mecum Auctions, owned by Treworgy's best friend, Dana Mecum.
