Isolated Residents In 6 Villages Of Majene Regency Are Happy To Welcome BNPB's Assistance
JAKARTA - Isolated residents in 6 villages, Majene Regency, welcomed the news of assistance from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
"I, as the head of Kab Angka Village, have received a phone call from the central BNPB and it is reported that the aid will soon arrive in West Sulawesi," said Head of District of Ulumanda District, Majene Regency, Fajaruddin as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 18.
He said that aid from the center would soon arrive in Makassar and would then be distributed to earthquake sites in Majene and Mamuju districts.
"We hope that the assistance directed to the earthquake location can be distributed evenly, thank you for the volunteers who have helped us in isolated areas due to the earthquake," he said.
As many as six villages at the earthquake point in Ulumanda Subdistrict, Majene Regency, were isolated due to landslides buried by landslides on the road access to the village.
"The six villages are the closest locations to the point of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that rocked Majene and Mamuju districts.
The six isolated villages in Ulumanda sub-district and located in the Majene mountains include Sambal Village, Kabumur Village, Tandiallo Village, Ulumanda Village, Popenga Village, Panggallo Village.
Meanwhile, the victims of the Mamuju and Majene earthquakes continued to increase to 73 people as a result of collapsing buildings while in Majene Regency there were eight people.
