JAKARTA - The Hannover Messe 2023 event has a positive impact on increasing investment in Indonesia. At the largest industrial technology exhibition in the world, there are a number of cooperation agreements that will be signed by the Government of Indonesia and business people.
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the cooperation agreement was an achievement of one of Indonesia's participation targets as Partner Country Hannover Messe 2023, namely the realization of foreign industrial cooperation and investment.
"There are 27 cooperation agreements signed by the Indonesian side at the Hannover Messe 2023 event, including a cooperation agreement between the Government of Indonesia and Germany or Government to Government (G to G)," he said in a press statement, Tuesday, April 18.
There are four agreements in Government to Business (G to B) or the government with business people, and 22 agreements made by Business to Business (B to B) or cooperation between companies. The total value of the investment cooperation commitment is known to reach more than 1.9 billion US dollars.
The 75 percent of the MoU signing participants came from co-exhibitor Hannover Messe 2023 and the rest were outside of co-exhibitors. "This shows that the enthusiasm of co-exhibitors to collaborate with partners is quite high," said Minister of Industry Agus.
He said the G to G agreement signed was a joint statement of will (Joint Statement Declaration of Intent/JDoI) between the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action/BMWK) of Joint Economic Cooperation.
Then, for the scope of G to B cooperation, it includes increasing human resources in industrial development and transformation 4.0, waste management into energy, waste management using economic circulars, and collaboration in the development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).
Meanwhile, the cooperation area carried out by B to B includes sustainable energy technology management, as well as investment in the use of diesel energy, semiconductor development, medical equipment and manufacturing industry security.
There is also cooperation on waste management into energy, the establishment of chemical and molding factory centers, the establishment of learning centers, cooperation in the electric vehicle-EV ecosystem, and industrial digital information 4.0.
In addition, the development of Internet of Things (IoT), a Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) milling machine and a learning system on medical ventilators, digital solutions for Small and Medium Industries (IKM) and digital services, as well as radar creation cooperation.
"The parties consist of various kinds of private companies as well as State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN)," said Agus.
On this occasion, Minister of Industry Agus also expressed his appreciation to all parties who have expressed their commitment to efforts to increase investment in Indonesia. This effort is believed to accelerate the increase in industrial competitiveness and national economic growth.
"The signing of this industrial cooperation can bring many changes in industrial improvements in various fields and also open wider industrial market access," he concluded.
For your information, Hannover Messe 2023 can be used to introduce the power of national industrial technology and encourage the connection between the Indonesian industry and global supply chain networks.
Thus, Indonesia is not only seen as a country that has the potential for world market strength, but also has an important meaning and role in its contribution to supporting the development of industrial technology and its supporters.
Indonesia is targeting four main agendas for its participation in this year's Hannover Messe event. First, to introduce Indonesia's vision to the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap.
Second, promoting industrial cooperation. Third, promoting investment and exports. Finally, to improve bilateral cooperation with Germany and enter the global supply chain network.
