Apple Upgrades MacBook Pro Display
JAKARTA - Apple is reportedly designing a new look for the MacBook Pro. It is planned that the new design of the MacBook Pro will arrive in the third quarter of 2021.
Based on reports from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman and analyst Ming-chi kuo, Apple plans to present a new design for the MacBook Pro. This laptop, which was first introduced in 2006, will come in two screen size options; 14 inches and 16 inches.
As is known, Apple will embed the latest ARM processor for the MacBook Pro. Including increasing the number of cores and parts of the graphics.
On some, or all, models, Apple will be removing the Touch Bar feature, which the company says is getting less response from users. In addition, the company also plans to add more I / O ports. So that users don't need to buy an additional USB terminal.
However, the biggest change is that the company returns to implementing MagSafe. As we know, Apple introduced the USB-C port five years ago on the MacBook Retina.
Indeed, recharging using USB-C has its own advantages. One of them, allows users to use cables from third parties. However, if the user forgets to uninstall it, it can increase the potential for laptop damage.
Therefore, Apple's return to using MagSafe as a rechargeable device will change all that. In fact, according to a search by Mark Gurman, the company plans to add a fast charging feature to MagSage. Plus, MagSafe is still loved by many MacBook users - according to the company's findings.
Apple is also looking for a screen technology that is brighter and has high contrast. Ming-chi kuo believes that Apple's newest laptop will get major changes in terms of design.
"Especially by adding a new layer in the shape of a square on the top and bottom of the device combined with a flat edge design, like the trend that was started in 2018 by the iPad Pro and then adopted on the iPhone 12 series," said Kuo via 9to5Mac, Monday, January 18.
If the information submitted by Kuo and Gurman is truly accurate, meaning that there will be no more changes until the laptop is launched, this update could mark a shift in philosophy from the current Macbook design.
Gurman found that the big changes were not just being implemented by the company on the MacBook Pro. Based on his search, Apple is also doing a major redesign of the iMac, the company's flagship desktop computer.
Gurman said that the company will launch two models in 2021. Unfortunately, Gurman failed to include detailed information regarding the launch time.
Both in terms of design and screen are similar to Pro Display XDR. Apple decided to no longer change the bezell that was considered too large, the chin that was too large, and the back with a curved shape.
Just like its new MacBook Pro, Apple will use the latest generation ARM-based processors. In accordance with Apple's strategy to no longer use Intel products.
