Persija Jakarta Starts To Improve
JAKARTA - Liga 1 2022/2023 competition officially ended. A number of clubs are now starting to prepare themselves for the next season.
Persija Jakarta is one of the teams that is fairly fast in fixing the squad. Akbar Arjunsyah became the first player to come in the Kemayoran Tiger squad.
The player who plays as a center-back is contracted for the next two years. Akbar is clearly happy to be joining Persija.
According to him, it is an honor to be able to join Persija, a historic club with a series of achievements.
"My personal target is of course to get playing minutes and help Persija to win the League 1 title next season," he said on Persija's official website.
Before moving to Persija, Akbar was a pillar of the Gresik United defense. In the 2022/2023 Liga 2 competition, Akbar appeared seven times or 630 minutes before the competition was finally stopped.
Now, Akbar is attending the U-23 Indonesian national team training camp (TC) in Jakarta to prepare for the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games.
In addition to signing Akbar, Persija management also managed to secure the services of Hansamu Yamaha Pranata. The defender who was born in Mojokerto 28 years ago will still be in red until 2025.
Hansamu said he did not think twice when there was an offer from the management of the Kemayoran Tigers to survive.
"The reason I chose to extend my contract with Persija was because I felt that his family could and the chemistry between players was also obtained," said the former Persebaya Surabaya player.
